Empower gearbox is the work challenges the existing domain knowledge. We base on the core concept of drivetrain system, gear shifting, and the goal of upgrading cycling experience, to develop a way that could leverage cyclist's performance.
How it works?
The idea of Empower Gearbox derives from car gearboxes. The power transmission would be achieved while one of the meshing differential gears is chosen by the clutch to go into the gear.
At the start, the pedaling power will be transmitted from the crank and chainring to the input shaft of gearbox. Through the chosen gears, the force would subsequently be delivered to the output shaft. Ultimately, the power will be transferred to rear wheel by the drivetrain system.
